Baby It’s Cold Outside…

On a cold winters eve, is there anything more satisfying than wrapping up in a beautiful warm shawl, pouring a cup of tea, and curling up with a good book? Today’s prize in  my 12 Days Giveaway is a beautiful pashmina shawl similar to the one shown here. It’s a deep cranberry red color with touches of black, generously sized, and made of 80 per cent pure cashmere wool and 20 per cent silk. Can  you imagine how cozy and warm it will feel on a chilly winter’s eve? That’s  my favorite way to spend a long winter afternoon, though here at the southern end of the Texas Hill Country our winters are usually so mild we barely notice them.

Enter today to win this beautiful cashmere and silk shawl.

We lived for ten  years in northwest Iowa  and in central Ohio where it seemed to me, a displaced Southern girl, that winter began sometime in late August and concluded the following June.  I will admit that I miss the changing of the seasons, especially the glorious autumns when the maples turned to red and gold, and I miss the possibility of a white Christmas. If only we could have about 8 weeks of a midwestern winter down here, that would be the perfect climate.

Regardless of where you call home, I hope you’ll enter today’s giveaway for the shawl and that it will bring you much pleasure. To enter go here: www.facebook.com/dorothylovebooks
