My husband says I have corrupted  him. He is a former tea drinker who still enjoys a cup of Earl Grey, but first thing in the morning these days, thanks to my influence, only a good cup of coffee will do. Recently we discovered Starbuck’s Blond, the Veranda blend, which is a milder roast and not as acidic as their regular roast. We are early risers, ( 5 am). We enjoy breakfast, that nice cup of Veranda and the morning papers before he hurries off to his office six miles from home and I head upstairs to mine–15 steps from the kitchen.Usually, a second cup of coffee, laced with milk and a tiny drop of half and half, comes with me and Jake, our five year old golden retriever.
