My books often deal with serious subjects, but you won’t find a lot of graphic violence or objectionable language in these pages. In a career spanning more than thirty years I’ve never felt the need to write that way. These are books you can share and discuss with your friends, your daughters, your mothers and grandmothers. I hope you will!
On the blog page, you’ll find posts going back more than a decade. Last year, in response to the changing ways in which readers find authors and connect with them, I switched to writing twice -monthly newsletter posts on Substack. INSIDE STORY is about the history behind my books, recommendations of books I have read and liked, occasional peeks into my tiny art studio where I make a mess with watercolors, and have a lot of fun. Ten years ago, my husband and I left the city for a house in a lake community in the hill country. From time to time I share photos of the wildlife that lives here along side us. Now and then, I share a recipe we’ve enjoyed or an interview with a writer I admire. And of course, I keep everyone updated on my newest books.
