A Common Thread Unites Women In The War

Hello out there. August is here already and I’m closing in on finishing a new novel. One that’s very different from A Season in Saigon. Conventional wisdom says writers ought to write one kind of novel, but I’ve never been able to confine my interests to one subject or one time period although all of my novels share my love of history as a common starting point.

On today’s INSIDE STORY substack, I’m writing about four women who inspired SAIGON. From different backgrounds and different parts of the country, they shared a common desire that led them out of the familiar and the comfortable and into the danger and chaos of war.

If you enjoy learning the history behind my novels, I think you’ll like learning more about these trailblazers. If so, please click the “subscribe” button at the bottom of the Inside Story post. I usually post only twice a month, on Sundays. As my next novel moves closer to publication, I’ll be sharing more of its Inside Story, too.

Thank you for stopping by here. I appreciate the support and encouragement I’ve received along this long and winding journey. Be well. Stay cool. Happy reading.
